The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a winter weather warning for Washington, DC, on Monday, January 6, as a storm slammed the region, bringing heavy snow and dangerous travel conditions.The NWS warned of snow accumulations up to 10 inches, with 12 inches possible in isolated areas.
