Winter storm advisories were in effect for Denton County on Thursday morning, January 9, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of snow and ice accumulations in “most” of north Texas.The NWS warned “most of North Texas” could expect “heavy mixed precipitation” including snow and sleet until noon on Friday.
