Rescue efforts were ongoing in the French overseas territory of Mayotte on Sunday, December 15, after Cyclone Chido slammed into the region on Saturday, causing extensive damage.Aerial footage posted by France’s Gendarmerie Nationale, on Sunday shows a view of destruction across the small island from a helicopter.
