A group of endangered monkeys recently arrived at a British zoo in a bid to conserve the species from extinction, footage released on Wednesday, May 22 shows.Video from England’s Chester Zoo shows a family of four Roloway monkeys acclimatize at the zoo on May 15.According to the zoo, the monkeys are “on the verge of extinction in the wild” due to hunting and habitat loss and are among the world’s most endangered primates. “Conservationists at the zoo say they will do everything to ensure the species survives for future generations,” the zoo wrote in a press release.The quartet will now form a key part of an international conservation breeding program to safeguard the monkeys, the zoo added.
