A fire in the sprawling Rohingya refugee camp at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, destroyed around 80 shelters and several shops on Friday morning, May 24, according to local news reports.Footage by X user @RA_Laing_Win shows the fire.The chief of mission in Bangladesh with the United Nations, Abdusattor Esoev, wrote on X that refugee volunteers and the Bangladesh fire service managed to extinguish the fire.Police and several organizations on the scene were working to determine the cause of the fire, the Dhaka Tribune said.
