It was a soggy beginning to Summer for residents in parts of Sydney, New South Wales, on Sunday, December 1, after heavy rain caused extensive flooding in the area.Early Sunday, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) issued alerts for thunderstorms along much of the state’s east coast, warning of heavy rainfall, damaging winds and large hail.According to local news reports State Emergency Service crews responded to 330 incidents across the state with most of the calls relating to “damage including fallen trees and roof leaks.”Footage filmed by Les Mace shows cars driving through deep floodwaters in the Sydney’s Double Bay area on Sunday.
