Shocking footage shows the moment a British skier plunged and tumbled down a mountain in Austria, tearing his ACL in the process.Ben Girdwood recorded the moment Kieran Troup crashed down Pitztal Glacier, ultimately being ejected from his ski boots, rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), and partially tearing his meniscus and medial collateral ligament (MCL).Girdwood told Storyful he was in Austria for what “was meant to be a season long project making a ski film.”Troup took to Instagram to announce his skiing season had prematurely come to an end.“Over the years I’ve had many injuries from skiing but this one has to be the hardest to accept out of the lot,” Troup wrote.A GoFundMe page was created to help Troup pay for his surgery back in the UK and to get him back on the slopes next winter.
