The Essex fire service said smoke from a fire at a recycling centre in Basildon was expected to linger for “the next few days”.The fire engulfed warehouses and over a dozen vehicles, the fire department said.Station manager Nick Singleton said: “Crews are making good progress but the incident is creating a lot of smoke.
