Vehicles were seen smashed into bridges and walls after they were swept away by floodwaters in Telde, Gran Canaria, on Monday, March 3.Footage filmed by Victoria Cruz Lopez shows floodwaters streaming through what she described as the Barranco de las Bachilleras neighborhood in Telde, with several damaged vehicles seen submerged in muddy water.Lopez told Storyful that a “natural catastrophe” hit Telde, with flooding carrying away “everything in its path – cars, vans and even people had to be rescued.”The Gran Canaria government said a yellow warning for rain remained in effect for the north of the island until 5 pm on Tuesday.More flooding hit Telde on Tuesday, local authorities said.
