Rain was pouring down in Brisbane, Queensland, as Tropical Cyclone Alfred neared the Australian coast on March 6, prompting multiple warnings to seek shelter or prepare to evacuate.Emergency services urged residents in a number of areas to prepare for evacuation as potential flooding was expected in southern Queensland and northern New South Wales.The Bureau of Meteorology in Queensland said Tropical Cyclone Alfred was a Category 2 storm and slowly moving towards the Queensland coast.It was expected to cross the coast on Friday night or early Saturday morning, most likely between Noosa and Coolangatta, they said.Footage here, captured by Jack Gilkes, shows a downpour in Brisbane.
