Satellite imagery captured overnight on Tuesday, March 4, shows Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano in its 12th eruption episode since December.Timelapse satellite imagery released by CSU/CIRA and NOAA shows the volcano glowing and emissions wafting from the crater from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday morning.According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) lava fountains reached heights of over 600 feet during this eruption episode.
