A Ukranian border guard was granted leave from his post to meet his girlfriend at the train station in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, and propose to her on February 20, Ukraine’s public broadcaster reported.According to Ukraine’s Suspilne News, Volodymyr of the 3rd Border Detachment, also known as the “Pomsta” Brigade, and his girlfriend Marina had been together for seven months. Despite the relatively short courtship, Suspilne reported that they both knew they wished to be together for the long term.Video filmed by Suspilne shows Volodymyr, armed with a big bouquet and a ring, getting down on one knee to propose to Marina on the platform in Kryvyi Rih, where Marina’s parents reside.She said yes, and the rail workers joyfully announced the happy couple over the loudspeaker, the railway said.
