Seven-Foot Sinkhole Submerges Car in Salt Lake City

Utility crews extracted a car from a 7-foot-deep sinkhole after a water main break submerged the vehicle and flooded multiple houses in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, May 3.The SLC Department of Public Utilities reported the break flooded six homes in the Poplar Grove area and left the block without water.As of Tuesday afternoon, crews were still on the scene to repair the line and restore water to the area, the utilities department reported.These videos shared by the public utilities department show crews draining the sinkhole.
