Markets close flat, FOMC meeting preview: Market Domination Overtime

The major indexes (^GSPC, ^DJI, ^IXIC) closed relatively flat on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average closing 49 points lower, and the S&P 500 and Nasdaq eking out gains. The Russell 2000 (^RUT) closed nearly 1% lower. Investors are likely waiting for earnings from a number of Big Tech names, including Microsoft (MSFT), which reports after the market close on Tuesday. Wall Street faces a busy week with Big Tech earnings and a jobs report on the horizon.
