61-year-old surfer Kenji Nonoka was bitten by a shark while surfing off the coast of Maui, Hawaii on November 1. Good Samaritans helped him swim back to shore where EMTs transported him to hospital. Wildlife authorities have not identified the shark involved in the attack.
