A recent undersea expedition off the coast of Chile has led to the discovery of a possible 60 new species of marine life. On a 55-day expedition from Valparaíso to Punta Arenas, researchers from the Schmidt Ocean Institute surveyed nearly 20 methane seep ecosystems and four previously unseen submarine canyon systems.
