Supporters of the January 6 rioters stood outside the DC Central Detention Facility on January 20, after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to allow the release of more than 1,500 people connected with the 2021 attack on the Capitol.The video taken by Tara Szczepanski outside the jail shows supporters of the rioters and members of the media come in contact with police who pushed the crowd back from the doors of the detention centre.The footage shows supporters holding placards that read “Pardon All J6 Hostages” and “No Man Left Behind” while listening to President Trump speak about his decision to pardon all those detained for their role in the insurrection.One supporter can be heard accusing police of being “complicit in keeping hostages” and called for the pardoned rioters to be released immediately.Another supporter can be heard shouting: “When are they going to be released?”According to local news reports two pardoned Capitol rioters were released from the DC jail to cheering crowds.
