Scientists at the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences have unveiled a new life-saving technology with China's first AI robot lifeguard. The unmanned autonomous device is able to detect a drowning swimmer and signal a rescue boat, all without human intervention. Researchers tested the pioneering technology on a river in Luohe, Henan province, in late October.
