An Independence Day fireworks show in central Texas was disrupted on the night of July 3, after two grass fires broke out in the area, local media reported.According to the report, a fire erupted about a minute into the WesTex Connect Fireworks Spectacular in Abilene which temporarily halted the show. Several minutes later, “the glow of a second, larger grass fire” was visible and ended the fireworks event.Early Thursday, Abilene Fire Department said a grass fire was extinguished next the school and no structures were damaged.The cause of the grass fires were yet to be officially confirmed.Drone footage filmed by Eugene Tan shows local authorities responding to the fire hotspots near Wylie High School in Abilene on Wednesday night.
