Thousands of Georgians gathered outside the country’s parliament on Thursday, November 28, to protest their government’s decision to
halt European Union accession talks until 2028.Three employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were injured overnight, the
ministry said, along with about 10 journalists from various media outlets, according to
local reports.In a
previous statement, the MIA said some of the protesters were physically confronting and insulting law enforcement officers.Drone footage filmed by Ezz Gaber shows a large crowd outside the Georgian parliament building on Thursday night and protesters pointing lasers at police.The demonstration started after Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze
announced on Thursday the suspension of the country’s EU accession talks, according to
