National Civil Police Director Mauricio Arriaza Chicas and other high-ranking police officials died in the crash while transporting a fugitive banker on Sunday night.According to a local news outlet, Nayib Bukele, the president of El Salvador, ordered that all flags be flown at half-mast for the next three days to honor Chicas.
