Snow squalls brought periods of “near whiteout conditions” in Buffalo and surrounding areas overnight into January 28.Footage recorded by Daniel Pollina in Cheektowaga shows the wintry conditions in his neighborhood. “Very intense, strong winds, heavy snow combined with the blowing and drifting snow,” he said.“I can imagine that the road conditions were zero visibility during the peak of the snow squall,” Pollina told Storyful.The National Weather Service in Buffalo warned that moderate to heavy snow would combine with strong gusty winds to produce “periods of near whiteout conditions”.
