A group of mountaineers hiking up the Uludağ in Bursa Province, Turkey on January 12 were forced to take cover when a blizzard descended on the mountain. The five men dug into the snow, forming a cave that they were able to safely use as a shelter. Despite temperatures in the area dropping to 8.6°F overnight, the mountaineers were able to sleep in the cave and returned to their hotel in the morning.
