The home of Old Fort, North Carolina couple Scotty Swann and Vera Pinkard was recently flooded almost to the ceiling during the passage of Hurricane Helene. Luckily, the house had a 'door to nowhere' that allowed them to escape to the roof, where they were rescued by crews on inflatables.
