Central Colorado was hit by heavy snowfall and strong winds on the morning of Thursday, January 30.Meteorologist Ryan Matoush took footage of the snow and posted it on X early Thursday morning.“Wind-driven snow looks like it could be a big issue this morning,” he wrote.The National Weather Service (NWS) warned on Wednesday evening that the heaviest snowfall would be on Thursday morning and could fall at rates up to 1 inch per hour.A winter weather advisory was also in place because of snow and “winds gusting as high as 40 mph.”“Plan on slippery road conditions and low visibility due to blowing snow,” the NWS wrote in the advisory. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.” Credit: Ryan Matoush via Storyful
