One dead as firefighters battle New York-New Jersey wildfire

Firefighters are currently battling the Jennings Creek wildfire in Sterling Forest State Park on the border between the US states of New York and New Jersey. A young state forest ranger died during the firefighting efforts on Saturday. The 18-year-old was struck by a tree. Light rainfall on Monday improved the air quality and made it easier to extinguish the fire.
