The West Australian, the main runway was only partly operational on Sunday afternoon, with rapid repairs taking place overnight so the runway could operate as usual the next day.On Monday, the airport
told local media “additional minor works” were being undertaken on the main runway.“These additional works are based on the advice of an external civil engineer, sought as part of an ongoing investigation to understand the cause of the pavement failure,” the airport said.
