New satellite imagery shows what appears to be Russian military equipment and vehicles being withdrawn from Syria’s Khmeimim airbase near Latakia.Imagery sent to Storyful from Maxar shows military trucks, armored personnel carriers and personnel on the tarmac at the Khmeimim airbase. A transport aircraft was spotted near the equipment and several additional transport aircraft were also seen at the airbase.Images taken on December 17 show “a group of military trucks and armored personnel carriers had arrived and were positioned in the military section of the Tartus port facilities,” Maxar said.According to a report from the Associated Press, planes were spotted coming and going from Khmeimim air base on Monday.
