Staff at Louisiana's Shreveport Aquarium have been left stumped by the 'virgin birth' of a shark pup. Yoko, a swell shark pup, hatched on January 3 in an all-female tank that had not seen a male shark in more than three years. The aquarium announced two possible reasons for the mysterious phenomenon in a January 24 press release.
