Elon Musk attended the Oval Office with his young son X as President Donald Trump signed an executive order to give the Tesla CEO more power over the federal workforce.Footage from Trump’s deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino shows the father-son duo stand beside Trump during a press conference, as Musk questioned the validity of some social security payments.“Do you know anyone who is 150? I don’t. They should be on the Guinness Book of World Records. They’re missing out. That’s a case of they’re probably dead, is my guess, or they should be very famous, one of the two,” Musk said.“Then there’s a whole bunch of security payments with no identifying information. Why is there not identifying information. Obviously, we want to make sure that people who deserve to receive social security do receive it.”Trump’s latest executive order directs federal agencies to implement a “workforce optimization initiative” created by Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency.During the press conference, Musk took questions from reporters for the first time since Trump’s innauguration and defended the department. “The people voted for major government reform and that’s what the people are going to get,” he said.
