Ambulance Damaged in Northern Israel After Wave of Hezbollah Rocket Attacks

An Israeli ambulance service said one of its vehicles was damaged by shrapnel from a blast in northern Israel as Hezbollah launched a wave of rocket attacks overnight into Tuesday morning, September 24.The Magen David Adom service said the ambulance was hit in the Jezreel Valley area. The valley contains the Megiddo Airfield, an Israeli military base.According to statements from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted on Tuesday morning, alerts were activated in the area after multiple launches were detected from Lebanese territory.Retaliatory strikes were carried out into Tuesday morning by Israel, whose military said they attacked dozens of Hezbollah targets in several areas in southern Lebanon. The IDF said secondary explosions were observed indicating the weapons that were stored in the buildings. This has not been independently verified.Throughout Monday, Israel launched hundreds of airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, killing at least 492 people and injuring 1,645, according to the latest toll from Lebanon’s health ministry.
