Care Home Residents Try Out Breakdancing Ahead of Paris Olympics

Care home residents from across Suffolk, UK, enjoyed a breaking, or breakdancing, class taught by an international choreographer ahead of this year’s introduction of the sport to the Olympic Games.Footage released by Care UK shows choreographer Nadir Josi breaking for care home residents gathered at Mills Meadow in Framlingham.Residents then tried their hand at the sport in a workshop led by the Blair Academy, which promotes healthy aging through hip-hop.The event was held on May 23, ahead of breaking’s introduction at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.As part of the event, more than 100 residents from 11 different care homes also competed in an inter-home tournament featuring weightlifting with foam weights, team rhythmic gymnastics, and shot put using mini sandbags.Jennie Rodgers, Regional Director for Suffolk at Care UK, said: "There
