A Bronx neighborhood was hit with heavy coastal flooding during a storm on Wednesday, April 3.Footage filmed and posted to TikTok by Sabrina Fontana shows large waves crashing into a residence on City Island, submerging the porch under water. Fontana’s dog, Chief, is seen watching the waves from the door.“If I opened the back door, he would’ve went and played in the waves,” Fontana told Storyful.According to the National Weather Service, a major coastal storm hit the area on Wednesday, and a coastal flood warning was issued until Thursday morning.
