A multistory building in New Orleans, Louisiana, partially collapsed on Monday, December 30, leaving hundreds without power, according to
officials.Dashcam footage recorded by LaRhonda Collins captured the collapse of the building’s upper section, which occurred Monday evening at the intersection of Magazine and Felicity streets.Officials
confirmed the commercial building, which had recently housed Inlow Guitars, was unoccupied, and
no injuries were reported.In a statement to
local news outlets, officials said the collapse damaged an Entergy transformer in the area. However, they clarified that the transformer was not the cause of the collapse.Officials
