A man who punched another man outside a pub in Swansea, Wales, in 2024, resulting in the man’s death, was sentenced to life in jail, South Wales Police
said in a statement on January 3.Christopher Cooper, 39, from Swansea’s Maritime Quarter, punched Kelvin Evans, 64, once in the head outside The Station Hotel on Gorseinon High Street on May 26, 2024, police said.“The victim was immediately rendered unconscious and was taken to hospital, but his condition deteriorated, and he later passed away on June 26,” a statement from South Wales Police read.Video of the incident shows Cooper strike Evans, causing him to collapse into the wall of the building and fall to the ground.
News reports said Cooper claimed Evans threatened to assault his partner with a glass during a karaoke performance in the pub, but provided no evidence.Cooper was given a life sentence with a minimum term of 16 years on January 3.According to
