Organizers of the 2025 Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana, observed a moment of silence before the football game on January 2 for those killed in the terror attack in the city’s French Quarter the previous day.At least 14 people were killed in a vehicle-ramming attack on Bourbon Street in the early morning hours of January 1.The FBI was investigating the incident as an “attack of terrorism” and confirmed the suspect – shot dead at the scene – was US citizen Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, from Texas.The Sugar Bowl was previously scheduled to take place at the Caesers Superdome in New Orleans on January 1, but was postponed to January 2 due to the attack.
