Israeli soldiers and members of Hezbollah faced off in clashes in south Lebanon on October 2, the Hezbollah-run al-Manar reported.According to Hezbollah statements in the al-Manar report, its fighters clashed with Israeli soldiers near Odaisseh on Wednesday morning, “inflicting losses” and “forcing them to retreat.”This has not been independently confirmed.The IDF published this footage which it described as showing its soldiers in south Lebanon. It said soldiers had engaged in “close-range encounters” with Hezbollah.IDF soldiers “located and destroyed a Hezbollah combat compound containing a rocket launcher, a stockpile of charges and other combat equipment,” the IDF said.
