Three mountaineers were rescued from the Pico Almanzor, a mountain peak in central Spain, over the weekend, after one of them had a fall and sustained a potential head injury, according to Spanish news reports.Footage released by the Guardia Civil shows the rescuers getting to the scene and airlifting one of the mountaineers to safety with an helicopter.According to Tribuna de Avila, the rescuers were alerted in the early afternoon of Saturday after a 26-year-old woman suffered a fall during her hike.The woman was being helped by two other mountaineers when the rescuers got to the scene.Strong winds and the difficult terrain made the rescue operation particularly complicated, Spanish news reports said.
