LAPD Officers Take to Paris Streets for Olympics Collaboration

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers were on patrol in Paris for the Olympics, in a collaboration with local law enforcement aimed at enhancing their readiness for when the Games come to LA in 2028.Video from Nicolas Mercier shows LAPD officers patrolling the streets on Tuesday, July 30.32 LAPD reserve officers and a supervisor travelled to France as part of the Olympic delegation to work at event sites across the country, according to local media.The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also said it had sent a team of 28 personnel to the French capital, “comprising various specialized units, including Patrol duties, Canine units, and additional specialized divisions.”The group would gain “invaluable experience and insights that will enhance our capabilities for the upcoming Los Angeles Olympics,” the sheriff’s department said.
