New York Governor Kathy Hochul
announced a statewide burn ban on November 12, valid until November 30, as the
Jennings Creek fire continued to affect parts of New York and New Jersey.Footage released by the New York State Park Police shows smoke rising as over 300 personnel worked on containing the wildfire on Tuesday, according to the
state park police.As of Tuesday, the fire had grown to over 5,000 acres and was 10 percent contained, according to
New York’s governor.The National Weather Service
