Members of the New York Police Department joined other law enforcement agencies to escort this year’s Rockefeller Christmas tree on its 140-mile journey from Massachusetts to New York, footage released on Sunday, November 10, shows.Footage posted to X by NYPD News shows the 74-foot, 11-ton Norway spruce being cut down in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, on November 7, before being transported by authorities to Manhattan on November 9.The NYPD said the journey involved a multi-agency operation and safety inspection to ensure the tree’s safe arrival in New York City.The annual Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony was set to take place on Wednesday, December 4.
