Bedfordshire Police offered a warning to criminals after an officer chased down a fleeing suspect in Luton on January 6: “You can run … but you certainly can’t hide.”Footage from the force shows the suspect fleeing from a traffic stop, initially speeding away in his car before abandoning it and running off.Police said the suspect had been seen driving dangerously on CCTV, and a patrol sergeant was dispatched.As the officer came towards the car, the driver sped off.“A vehicle and foot chase ensued, ending with the driver attempting to play a game of hide-and-seek,” police said. “Spoiler alert – he lost.”Police said the suspect has pleaded guilty to failing to provide specimen for analysis while in custody and would be sentenced next month.
