A tiny blue-eyed Goodfellow’s tree kangaroo joey has begun to explore his surroundings at a sanctuary in Victoria, footage released on December 4 shows.The six-month-old, born to parents Mani and Bagam, is part of an international breeding program for the endangered species.“It’s exciting to the see the joey become more confident and continue to pop out of the pouch as the weather warms up,” keeper Katherine Sarris, who has closely monitored the joey’s development, said.Found only in Papua New Guinea,
