Zelensky Meets Duda in First Official Poland Trip Since Russian Invasion

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Warsaw on Wednesday, April 5, to meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda, his first trip to Poland since Russia’s full-scale invasion more than a year earlier.Zelensky and his wife, Olena Zelenska, were greeted by Duda and first lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda at Warsaw Castle to a band playing the Ukrainian and Polish national anthems.The Ukrainian leader visited Poland at Duda’s invitation, and the two were expected to discuss security and economic relations.Poland has been a staunch ally of Kyiv since Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
