A worker’s observation of unusual bumps in a quarry led university researchers to the remarkable discovery of hundreds of dinosaur footprints in Bicester, Oxfordshire, in England.Drone footage from the University of Birmingham, whose researchers led the excavation, shows people working at the site, at Dewars Farm Quarry.According to a press release by the University of Birmingham, the dinosaur trackways date back to the Middle Jurassic Period, meaning around 166 million years ago.The dinosaur footprints had been buried under mud until a quarry worker noticed unusual bumps in the quarry and called in the researchers.The excavation process lasted from June 17 to June 22, and led the experts to the discovery of around 200 footprints.
