The Virginia National Guard on Friday, October 4, continued recovery and cleanup work after Storm Helene battered the state.This footage released by the guard shows the 1032nd Transportation Company clearing fallen trees.The company had previously been stationed in Abingdon.The Virginia Department of Emergency Management said recovery work was ongoing on Friday.Governor Glenn Youngkin announced on Wednesday that Virginia had received an Expedited Major Disaster Declaration, to allow for additional support for those hit by Helene.More than 200 people had died as a result of the storm, US media reported.
