Strong wind and extensive flooding hit parts of Mexico’s Yucantan Peninsula on Monday, October 7, as Hurricane Milton barreled through the region.Footage filmed by Eyvar Solis shows conditions around Celestun, a fishing village on the western coast of the peninsula, on Monday afternoon.Milton caused flooding, fallen trees, and phone outages in the communities of Sisal and Celestun, where the damage was worst, local media reported on Tuesday.Storm surge and damaging winds were forecast in the region through Tuesday, the NHC said.
