A driver sustained critical injuries after a 17-vehicle crash on the I-94 in Hartford, Michigan, on Monday, December 2.Michigan State Police said the highway was forced to shut in both directions due to the crash, which involved 14 passenger vehicles and three semi-trucks.In addition to these vehicles, there were another 15 slide-offs, according to officers.“Driving too fast for conditions believed to be a factor with heavy blowing snow producing whiteout conditions,” police said.Bodyworn video from Michigan State Police shows the aftermath of the crash.
