An autopilot feature became available on August 15 for owners of Tesla Model S sedans, allowing drivers to give the car autonomy over steering, lane-changing and speed. Tesla does
warn, however, that drivers must remain engaged and keep their hands on the wheel. When that doesn’t happen, the beta technology could severely misinterpret its surroundings. This driver narrowly avoided a head-on collision when his vehicle suddenly veered to the left. Credit: YouTube/RockTreeStar
