Advisories were in effect for areas of northern New York on Thursday, December 12, as heavy snow and gusty winds threatened hazardous driving conditions, the National Weather Service warned.Footage taken by Joseph Frascati shows snowy scenes across Monroe County on Thursday morning, including reduced visibility at Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.“We are getting nailed,” Frascati wrote on X.The NWS said additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches were expected in Monroe County, and wind gusts as high as 40 mph “will produce blowing and drifting snow.”“Plan on snow covered and slippery road conditions,” the weather service warned.
